Job Description Overview:
In your role as Clinical Educator for Perinatal Women’s Health in the Regional Women’s and Children’s Program at Trillium Health Partners, you will be responsible for planning, leading, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive education program for all members of the interprofessional team. Reporting to the Women’s & Children’s Program Director, you will work in collaboration with others on the leadership team. You will work to promote clinical excellence in patient and family centered care, utilizing your knowledge of evidence based practices working in collaboration with members of the interprofessional team. As the successful candidate, you will continuously role model and mentor others to achieve success. You are an energetic person who takes pride in building strong and effective interpersonal relationships.

As the successful candidate, you will lead staff and support program development in the Women’s Health program as an educator, consultant, researcher, facilitator, change agent and leader. Working with other Clinical Educators, you will plan, develop, implement and evaluate the global and program specific orientation and ongoing education programs at THP. Your knowledge and expertise in balancing normal childbirth and high risk antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum maternal and newborn care will make you an ideal candidate for this role. Expertise in Sexual Assault and Gynaecology is an additional asset. Your philosophy of education promotes a positive and continuous learning climate and is enhanced by your enthusiasm and innovation in patient care and clinical education. You will use research to continually drive quality improvement by engaging with the interprofessional team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate change initiatives. As a role model of professional behaviour, you will be instrumental in creating a professional climate within THP to enable the organization to achieve the mission, vision and values of the strategic plan and contribute to the program development of this newly merged organization.
